Beat Rhythm Fashion (from NZ)
Album Launch At No5 Church Street June 29th

Legendary Wellington New Zealand Proto Shoegazer Dreampop pioneers Beat Rhythm Fashion recently returned from their NZ tour and from a 35 year hiatus to pick up exactly where they left off with their ground breaking atmospheric alternative rock pieces like 'Turn of the Century' and 'Beings Rest Finally'.

Their new Album Tenterhook (Failsafe Records) has just been released and Nino Birch lead vox and songwriter is doing a little intimate Album Launch gig here at No5 to showcase the album.

BRF is normally a 3 piece band: Nino Birch (guitar & vocals) & Caroline Easther (ex Chills drums & vocals) Rob Mayes (ex Throw, dolphin, Kimo - bass)….however…Caroline the drummer lives in NZ and Rob the bassist lives in Japan so it’s a bit tricky to get them over for this smaller intimate kind of show….so for this warm up Album Launch gig Nino will be delivering the songs live Solo to a full band sound with Caroline and Rob punched through the PA with takes lifted from their live shows in NZ.

So for Nino (and for any audience) this is not ideal as naturally he would much prefer to have Caroline and Rob here but it really will sound like they are onstage but will be invisible ha ha ..and it will still be a dynamic live show.

The band released their first single Hard as Hell, from the album accompanied by a Video Shot in Tokyo, Japan, where the band played two warm up shows recently.
The video was filmed by cinematographer Ivan Kovak on a Cinema Red Helium camera.
